WED 463

First weekend class WED 463
Today the class started with an introduction to WED 463, Assessment of Learner Performance.  We began the class by re-arranging the room so class members would face the professor.  We concluded a personal goal setting with image exercise and each class member debated their specific goals.  We were presented to the three main WEB 2.0 tools and other websites that we will be using during class.  The WEB 2.0 tools we will be using are   Skype, wikispace, and Blogger.  We brushed up the course syllabus in-depth and then a class member Mr. Plemons used his portable computer to demonstrate the class the tools with creating and editing a blog.  Group assignment was distributed to all class members for the rest of the weekend.

E-Learning weekend

E-learning weekend

It was an e-learning weekend, to be honest, I would preferred to be in class, there was a lot work involved , an important assignment was due rather soon and everyone was waiting for our assignment for evaluation purposes It was a bit frustrating weekend.
Everyone in class was using the Skype  system.
At the same time we were evaluating other groups, their work presentation and research was outstanding, and caused a bit of insecurity , hoping our project would be as good as well
As the day developed, each group posted their WebQuest and each class member reviewed each WebQuest, took their quiz, and posted a review for the designers
To be honest with everyone in class I discovered that Skype was the main tool of the class during e-learning weekends and Dr. Ackerman anticipates each class member to log on and play a part in conversations.  This was good because it did permit us the freedom to be at your home (or any location of your choosing) and still be a part of the class.

Once posting our WQ, we were so relieved, there was a lot of pressure during the process,  then went into the wikispace and reviewed everyone else's WebQuest.  There were very interesting  WQ's and a lot of well researched  information to be noticed
